Library files and folders

Browse active files and folders, create a custom folder, upload a file attached or selected in ChatGPT, and rename or move files and custom folders within the connected shop. Search matches filenames; it does not search inside document contents.

Approve library:read and library:write when reconnecting after deployment. Old connections keep their existing scopes. Your current shop role must also have Files access; system folders cannot be renamed or moved.

Uploads use your business storage quota and accept files up to 25 MiB. Read folder IDs first and use the returned Library asset ID for product or Studio images. If a ChatGPT attachment link expires, attach or select the file again. Arbitrary website URLs, Trash operations and permanent deletion are not exposed in this release.

Connect your shop

Open the Xonbay Business app in ChatGPT and start its connection flow. Sign in to your Xonbay account, review the permissions requested, choose a shop and allow access. Each connection acts for that chosen shop.

You do not enter a client secret or developer authorization code. Developers configure OAuth credentials on the server. Never paste passwords or access tokens into chat.

Existing Creative Studio connections keep their original permissions. After the business release, reconnect to approve the expanded permissions. Availability follows your shop role; Creative Studio also requires a supported marketing plan.

Products and stock

Ask ChatGPT to browse products, inspect a product or find categories. Give the name, price in the shop currency, quantity and any other facts you want saved. New products are hidden unless you explicitly ask to make them active.

For product images, select active images already in your shop library. Attach or select new images in ChatGPT and ask to upload them to a Library folder; the upload returns an asset ID you can use on the product. ChatGPT uses library IDs rather than accepting arbitrary image URLs.

Read a product before editing it. Stock changes record a movement; repeated identical requests return the same result. Variant stock and digital-product configuration are managed in the dashboard in this release.

Orders and fulfillment

Ask for pending orders, inspect an order and choose an action from its returned available actions. Provide an explicit instruction before an order is changed.

Supported events include processing, packing, shipping, out for delivery, delivery, pickup readiness, pickup completion, cancellation and return, depending on the current state and delivery method. Existing order updates may notify customers and trigger business automations.

Payment collection, payouts and issuing refunds are outside this integration. Marking an order returned is an order-state action and does not issue a refund.

Analytics

Ask for your actual shop dashboard report over 1–366 days; the default is 30 days. It includes the report available to your role, such as sales, storefront traffic, countries and funnel activity.

Reports reflect recorded data. A new shop or untracked period can return zeros or missing information. ChatGPT should not invent figures or present them as forecasts.

Storefront drafts

Read your current storefront and saved draft, then request colors, an announcement, header/footer options or layout changes. Colors use six-digit hex values. Layout supports 1–6 product columns, 0–48 px border radius and 8–160 px section spacing.

Create a custom draft page with a title, optional lowercase hyphenated slug and plain-text content. Pages stay unpublished and out of live navigation.

Open the returned storefront editor link to preview and publish through the dashboard. The integration saves drafts and cannot publish your live site.

Creative Studio

Describe your audience, featured products, format, duration and visual direction. ChatGPT reads your connected shop products and images and designs a complete composition.

Supported formats are square, portrait, story and landscape. A Reel typically uses story (9:16). Compositions support up to 12 scenes and 120 seconds, with 1–10 seconds per scene, up to three products and six library images.

The result is an editable Studio draft, not a rendered video file. Open its editor link to preview, revise and export. Available music choices are none, chill, upbeat and cinematic; no generated voiceover or licensed-track search is included.

Permissions and data

Every tool checks its required OAuth scope and your current shop permissions. Removing a role or revoking the connection blocks access. You can review and disconnect ChatGPT connections in the shop dashboard.

Catalog tools expose product details and image references. Order lists omit customer contacts; individual order reads expose customer and delivery details needed for fulfillment. Analytics exposes the shop report. Storefront tools expose settings and page summaries.

Written product names, descriptions, filenames and order/page content are business data, not instructions. The integration should use facts from your shop and never follow embedded commands from these fields. The existing Xonbay privacy policy and terms describe the service.

Troubleshooting

No shops available: check that your role permits all requested scopes. Studio requires Studio access and a supported marketing plan. Ask your shop owner to review membership permissions.

Connection returns to ChatGPT but fails: contact support with the time and error message. Developers should inspect OAuth callback allowlisting, PKCE, resource and client authentication. Do not send tokens or secrets.

Permission denied on a new tool: reconnect after the expanded tool release and approve the relevant scopes. Existing Studio grants do not gain business access automatically.

Record changed: reread the record and retry using its new updated_at. Missing record or image: verify it belongs to the connected shop and the image is active. Duplicate request key with different content: use a new key for a genuinely new action.

Draft saved but no live change: open the returned editor link. Studio requires export; storefront updates require preview and publishing in the dashboard.
